Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the Black or African American Alone racial group in Pennsylvania was 24.62%. Among all Pennsylvania cities and places with a population of at least 10K, the Black or African American Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in St. Marys city (97.14%), followed by Bloomsburg town (77.97%), and Indiana borough (74.55%). On the other hand, the Black or African American Alone racial group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 cities: Hanover borough (0%), Northampton borough (0%), and Horsham CDP (0.44%).
