Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the White Alone racial group in North Carolina was 10.41%. Among all North Carolina cities and places with a population of at least 10K, the White Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Boone town (55.26%), followed by Smithfield town (29.17%), and Mount Airy city (28.45%). On the other hand, the White Alone racial group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 cities: Winterville town (1.52%), Weddington town (2.03%), and Indian Trail town (2.38%).
