Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the White Alone racial group in North Carolina was 10.41%. Among all North Carolina counties, the White Alone racial group had the highest poverty rate in Watauga County (22.24%), followed by Alleghany County (20.3%), and Robeson County (18.95%). On the other hand, the White Alone racial group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 counties: Union County (5.35%), Dare County (5.65%), and Wake County (6.09%).
