Among all US states and DC, the Black or African American Alone racial group had the highest per capita income in Hawaii ($37,922), followed by Maryland ($36,414), and Alaska ($34,816). On the other hand, the Black or African American Alone racial group had the lowest per capita income in the following 3 states: Mississippi ($18,856), Iowa ($19,153), and Idaho ($19,474).
