Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, 48,419 out of 237,645 TX Congressional District 28 households received Food Stamps or SNAP in the last 12 months (i.e. 20.38% of TX Congressional District 28 households).

By Race: As a percentage of the total number of households that received SNAP or Food Stamps, the White Alone racial group constituted 61.73%; the Two or More Races racial group constituted 27.20%, and the Some Other Race Alone racial group constituted 5.89%.
