According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Midwest - Size Class B/C was 145.723 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.3%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Rent of primary residence item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (3.4%), followed by Owners' equivalent rent of residences (2.6%), and Food away from home (2.2%).
