According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March 2021, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Alaska was 296.052 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 4.3%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

Motor fuel: 14.6%
Food at home: 9.7%
Rent of primary residence: 1.3%
