According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in November 2022, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Alaska was 368.601 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 12.5%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 23.1%
  2. Owners' equivalent rent of residences: 10.6%
  3. Rent of primary residence: 8.1%
