According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2021, Alaska added 8,618 number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry. Among Alaska counties, Matanuska-Susitna added the highest number of jobs (2,001), followed by Fairbanks North Star (463), and Bethel (395).
