According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2019, California added 9,556 number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry. Among California counties, Los Angeles added the highest number of jobs (2,464), followed by San Diego (1,046), and Contra Costa (723).
