According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, Louisiana added 6,485 number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry. Among Louisiana counties, Ouachita added the highest number of jobs (2,253), followed by St. Tammany (593), and Plaquemines (579).
