According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2019, Maine added 8,920 number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry. Among Maine counties, Cumberland added the highest number of jobs (1,648), followed by Penobscot (1,143), and Androscoggin (886).
