According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in August, 2019, Tennessee added the highest number of jobs to the local government health care and social assistance industry (629), followed by Texas (454), and New York (420).

On the other hand, Illinois added the least number of jobs (-320), followed by Alaska (-152), and Louisiana (-136).
