According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2020, Alaska added -721 number of jobs to the private natural resources and mining industry. Among Alaska counties, Matanuska-Susitna added the highest number of jobs (83), followed by Fairbanks North Star (75), and Kodiak Island (69).
