According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2022, Louisiana added 32,181 number of jobs to the private natural resources and mining industry. Among Louisiana counties, De Soto added the highest number of jobs (113), followed by St. Mary (104), and Tangipahoa (52).
