According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October, 2019, Missouri added 19,534 number of jobs to the private service-providing industry. Among Missouri counties, St. Louis added the highest number of jobs (4,244), followed by Jackson (3,402), and St. Louis city (2,426).
