According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2023, Missouri added 1,785,430 number of jobs to the private service-providing industry. Among Missouri counties, St. Louis city added the highest number of jobs (2,749), followed by Clay (1,222), and Greene (839).
