According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2022, Virginia added 284 number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry. Among Virginia counties, Chesapeake city added the highest number of jobs (19), followed by Augusta (11), and Tazewell (8).
