According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in April, 2019, New York added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (499), followed by Illinois (490), and Pennsylvania (263).

On the other hand, New Mexico added the least number of jobs (-507), followed by Oklahoma (-337), and Wyoming (-267).
