According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2020, New York added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (655), followed by Kentucky (351), and Massachusetts (152).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-19,840), followed by North Dakota (-2,902), and Colorado (-2,582).
