According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September, 2020, North Dakota added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (213), followed by Illinois (58), and New Jersey (38).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-1,152), followed by Alaska (-376), and Oklahoma (-337).
