According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2023, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (1,471), followed by Oklahoma (1,045), and Arizona (353).

On the other hand, Pennsylvania added the least number of jobs (-481), followed by West Virginia (-480), and New York (-406).
