According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2023, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction industry (648), followed by Louisiana (485), and New Mexico (385).

On the other hand, California added the least number of jobs (-156), followed by Alabama (-112), and Tennessee (-23).
