According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Alaska was 4.4% (sa) in September, 2023. Among all Alaska counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Kusilvak (14.7%), Bethel (10.2%), and Northwest Arctic (8.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Skagway (1.4%), Denali (1.8%), and Aleutians East (1.9%).
