According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Florida was 3.9% (sa) in May, 2004. Among all Florida counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Hendry (5.7%), Indian River (4.8%), and Hernando (4.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Monroe (2.4%), Okaloosa (2.6%), and Lafayette (2.6%).
