According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 11.2% (sa) in November, 2009. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Winnebago (15.4%), Boone (14.9%), and Montgomery (13%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (4.8%), Jackson (7.4%), and Cass (7.4%).
