According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 11% (sa) in October, 2009. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Winnebago (16%), Boone (14.4%), and Franklin (13.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (4.8%), Schuyler (7.1%), and Scott (7.3%).
