According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9.3% (sa) in January, 2012. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Grundy (13.6%), Montgomery (13%), and Union (13%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Brown (6.3%), Woodford (6.7%), and Washington (6.8%).
