According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Kentucky was 8.1% (sa) in November, 2008. Among all Kentucky counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Jackson (12.4%), Clay (11.3%), and Menifee (11.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Fayette (5.3%), Woodford (5.6%), and Oldham (5.8%).
