According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Minnesota was 6.7% (sa) in December, 2008. Among all Minnesota counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Clearwater (15.7%), Kanabec (13.5%), and Mille Lacs (11.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Clay (4.1%), Jackson (4.5%), and Roseau (4.6%).
