According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New York was 8.6% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all New York counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Bronx (12.8%), Fulton (11.1%), and Oswego (10.9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Tompkins (6.7%), Saratoga (6.8%), and Ontario (7%).
