According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 8.1% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (11.4%), California (10.3%), and Rhode Island (10.1%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (2.9%), Nebraska (3.8%), and South Dakota (4.1%).
