According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Texas was 6.6% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all Texas counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Willacy (15.4%), Presidio (15.1%), and Zavala (14.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): McMullen (2.4%), Sterling (3.2%), and Hemphill (3.2%).
