According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Vermont was 3.9% (sa) in May, 2007. Among all Vermont counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Orleans (5.2%), Essex (5.1%), and Lamoille (4.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Chittenden (3%), Orange (3.1%), and Addison (3.2%).
