According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 5% (sa) in April, 2006. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (11.6%), Columbia (10.4%), and Pend Oreille (8.8%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): King (3.2%), Snohomish (3.6%), and San Juan (4.4%).
