According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 5.1% (sa) in January, 2006. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (13.2%), Adams (12.5%), and Columbia (12.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Asotin (3.5%), King (3.6%), and Snohomish (4%).
