According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 7.2% (sa) in February, 2009. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Wahkiakum (15.6%), Pacific (14.6%), and Ferry (14.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (5.2%), King (5.6%), and Snohomish (6.9%).
