According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 9.3% (sa) in January, 2010. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (19.6%), Pend Oreille (17%), and Wahkiakum (16.3%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (6%), Kitsap (8.4%), and Walla Walla (8.7%).
