According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 9.1% (sa) in May, 2010. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (15.4%), Pend Oreille (13.1%), and Wahkiakum (12.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Juan (5.9%), Whitman (6.2%), and Benton (6.8%).
