According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 8% (sa) in December, 2011. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (15.9%), Grays Harbor (12.7%), and Wahkiakum (12.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (4.8%), Walla Walla (6.9%), and San Juan (6.9%).
