According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 8.6% (sa) in July, 2011. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (14.5%), Wahkiakum (12.5%), and Pend Oreille (12.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Juan (5.1%), Chelan (5.6%), and Garfield (6.1%).
