According to the FBI UCR data, in 2015, among US cities with a population of at least 50K, St. Louis, MO had the highest Violent Crime Rate per 100K residents (1,817.12); followed by Detroit, MI (1,759.59); Birmingham, AL (1,746.19); Memphis, TN (1,740.14); and Wilmington, DE (1,707.87).
