US Number of Total Arrests By Race and Ethnicity for All Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 5,213,213 total arrests made in the US for all offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (3.65M), followed by Black or African American (1.36M), and American Indian or Alaska Native (129.82K).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 4,477,428 (86%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (3.55M), followed by Hispanic or Latino (928.44K).
