US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for All Other Offenses Except Traffic Offenses in 2020
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 1,534,972 total arrests made in the US for all other offenses except traffic offenses. There were 1,052,267 total arrests made in All Cities; 318,146 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 164,559 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 594,985 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (1,113), followed by Nonmetropolitan Counties (868.4), and Group V - Cities (757.9).
