US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Fraud Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 54,756 total arrests made in the US for fraud offenses. There were 40,644 total arrests made in All Cities; 10,675 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 3,437 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 23,240 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (49.9), followed by Group V - Cities (28.2), and Group IV - Cities (26.4).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
