US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Liquor Laws Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 70,875 total arrests made in the US for liquor laws offenses. There were 53,701 total arrests made in All Cities; 9,189 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 7,985 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 27,056 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (102.1), followed by Group V - Cities (47.5), and Nonmetropolitan Counties (42.1).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
