US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Liquor Laws Offenses in 2023

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 81,888 total arrests made in the US for liquor laws offenses. There were 63,843 total arrests made in All Cities; 10,483 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 7,562 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 31,289 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (91.3), followed by Group V - Cities (46.3), and Group IV - Cities (34.1).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
