US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Arson Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 7,711 total arrests made in the US for arson offenses. There were 6,049 total arrests made in All Cities; 1,190 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 472 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 2,473 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group II - Cities had the highest (3.9), followed by Group VI - Cities (3.8), and Group I - Cities (3.6).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
