US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Fraud Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 62,135 total arrests made in the US for fraud offenses. There were 46,609 total arrests made in All Cities; 11,865 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 3,661 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 28,537 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (52), followed by Group IV - Cities (29.3), and Group V - Cities (28.7).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
