US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Murder And Nonnegligent Manslaughter Offenses in 2022
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 10,047 total arrests made in the US for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter offenses. There were 7,584 total arrests made in All Cities; 1,886 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 577 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 2,815 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group I - Cities had the highest (7.3), followed by Total Cities (4.2), and Group II - Cities (4.1).
